Metal Prices 2026
The chart shows a strong and rapid rise in metal prices over both the past year and five years, with the steepest increase happening recently. What was once a fairly stable market has shifted into a period of much higher costs. This steep upward move is due to strong market demand combined with tighter supply and higher production costs. For me as a jeweller, this is concerning because silver wire and sheet are far more expensive than the raw silver price, due to added processing such as refining, rolling, and drawing.
